چکیده

A telescope consisting of three silicon microstrip detectors has been tested in a. high energy positron beam at SLAC. Each detector has strips with 25 micron pitch and is read out by two 128-channel NMOS integrated circuits (“Microplex”). Results on the signal-to-noise ratio, spatial resolution, and two-track separation are given. Presented at the Fourth European Symposium on Semiconductor Detectors, Munich, F.R. First test of a prototype CBM silicon detector system in a proton beam at GSI

In September 2008, the CBM collaboration performed the first essential test of two prototype detector systems in a 2.5 GeV proton beam at GSI. The experiment at the HTD beam line in Cave C comprised prototype micro-strip detectors of the Silicon Tracking System, and gas-electronmultiplier (GEM) detectors. The detectors were coupled to a self-triggering front-end electronics and data acquisition...

The Readout Electronics for Silicon Tracker of the GLAST Beam Test Engineering Model

The design of the Gamma-ray Large Area Space Telescope (GLAST) pairconversion tracker is based upon single-sided silicon-strip detectors with 36 cm long strips. The electronics used to read out this system are based upon CMOS ASICs and are similar in many ways to electronics used in high energy physics experiments. However, stringent requirements on power consumption and reliability, which are ...

Universit . . at Bonn Physikalisches Institut Performance of a Beam Telescope Using Double Sided Silicon Microstrip Detectors ?

A beam telescope consisting of four double sided, DC coupled microstrip detectors with VLSI readout electronics has been built and tested in a 70 GeV ? beam at CERN. A signal to noise ratio of 53:1 and a spatial resolution of 2.7m (junction side) and 4.8m (ohmic side) have been observed on the best detectors. A telescope performance for a particle track of xy = 2 ? 3 m and slope = 2 ? 3 rad on ...

A compact and portable beam telescope has been built using four 1.92 x 1.92 cm2 double sided silicon microstrip detectors with 50 μ m read-out pitch. Tests using 50 GeV pions have shown that the beam position can be defined with a precision of 3 μm and 6 μm on the p-side and n-side respectively with an overall detection efficiency of 93.0%. Test Results on the Silicon Pixel Detector for the TTF-FEL Beam Trajectory Monitor

Test measurements on the silicon pixel detector for the beam trajectory monitor at the free electron laser of the TESLA test facility are presented. To determine the electronic noise of detector and read-out and to calibrate the signal amplitude of different pixels the 6 keV photons of the manganese Kα/Kβ line are used. Two different methods determine the spatial accuracy of the detector: In on...
